Repro Uncensored is thrilled to be at Los Angeles Art Week this February for a series of events, activations, and gatherings bringing together creatives, policy-makers, and activists.
Amid a week that convenes global art worlds across the city, we are creating spaces for conversation at the intersection of art, culture, and reproductive justice. Stay tuned as we share details of our programing soon.
In partnership with artist Autumn Breon and ProDx Health, we will offer free on site HPV screenings alongside menstrual health resources during BUTTER Art Fair. Situating testing within a trusted cultural space aims to reduce stigma, support early detection, and meet people where they are, particularly as many continue to face barriers to routine reproductive health care due to cost, access, and surveillance concerns.
The activation also includes the distribution of reusable menstrual pads produced by the Association of Mothers of Pikine in Senegal, connecting menstrual health, sustainability, and community led care.
Through Care Machine, the project frames care as communal and infrastructural, expanding access to preventative services and information at a moment when reproductive health is increasingly contested worldwide.
